A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Camera Stream & Scanned Data: The Application requires access to your device camera to detect and read QR codes and barcodes in real-time. Camera data is processed entirely on-device using Google ML Kit. We do not transmit your live camera feeds, images, or scanned QR content to external servers.

Scan History: Scanned items and QR payloads are saved locally on your device storage to allow you to view, manage, and favorite past scans. You can clear your scan history at any time through the app settings.

B. Automatically Collected Information & Advertising Data

The App incorporates Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) to display advertisements (Banner, Interstitial, and Native ads). AdMob may collect and process certain non-personally identifiable technical information, including:

Device identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID / AAID)

IP address and approximate location data

Device model, operating system version, and system language

Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, and diagnostic performance metrics)

This data is collected directly by Google AdMob in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

2. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

Provide real-time QR code and barcode scanning functionality on your device.

Maintain your local scan history and user preferences.

Serve relevant, policy-compliant advertisements through Google AdMob to monetize and support free app maintenance.

4. Data Retention & Security

Local Data Retention: All scanned history and application settings are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing application data will permanently remove all saved history.

To function properly, Easy QR Scanner requests the following device permissions:

CAMERA: Required to access the camera hardware for real-time QR code and barcode scanning.

INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required to display advertisements via Google AdMob and to open web links scanned by the user.

You can revoke or manage permissions at any time in your device's Android System Settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Easy QR Scanner does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided personal data through the application, please contact us so we can take immediate corrective measures.
